These recurring stories weave their way throughout my work. Slices of moments, open-ended vignettes which force the viewer to fill in the emotional blanks.
Above all else, I’m a storyteller. This manifests in my writing, music and photography. Rather than describing a situation, I try to convey the experience. Not so much what happened, but how it felt. Or more often than not, how it didn’t. Longing for a connection, chasing the always fleeting infatuation. It feels cold. Grey. Rough edges and cracks. The occasional flower finding root and sprouting through the concrete, but how long before it’s crushed under foot?
